Marketing on a Budget

Marketing on a Budget

The word “marketing” can sometimes scare small companies with a limited budget. Fortunately, a marketing strategy is not as expensive as you may think! Don’t go into your marketing game blind. A few important steps can help you design an effective plan on a budget!

  • Outsource – Okay, so marketing is not your area of study. There are many marketing managers and companies that will beef up your strategies for a flat fee. They will know what needs to be done, cater their packages to your needs, and devote their days to making you thrive! At Studio Brand Collective we just do that.
  • SEO – Have you studied common trends on search engine optimization? I’d wager to say 2/3 of companies don’t fully understand how to get themselves found on Google. A few basic SEO classes on how to get your product or service found can go a tremendously long way! The best part? Utilizing search engine practices is relatively cheap in comparison to something like a billboard or TV ad.
  • Original Content – Original blog content that creates a company identity is absolutely free! Blogs give you a way to communicate with your audience in a concise manner that is conversational. Advertising can sometimes talk at people, and coming off in a more personal manner is highly beneficial. Use those GIFS, pictures, and lists to grab attention.
  • Text/Email Marketing – Text message or email marketing will cost you under $300 a month. In comparison to radio, TV, or print ads this is a monstrous bargain. You can calculate your views, open rates, and make adjustments easily when going forward. There dozens of programs that will do a lot of the work for you!

The biggest advice I’d give is not to let marketing frighten you! It doesn’t have to be done at a crippling price and you don’t have to sign any nasty long-term contracts. Figure out what works best for you and budget out your month-to-month marketing attack. I’ll be here to help!
