- How does my newsletter look on a mobile device? Movable Ink composed data in 2015 that reveals 54 percent of newsletters are opened on smartphones and 15 percent on tablets. With that making up 69 percent of your audience, double and triple checking your newsletters on all possible devices is pivotal.
- Am I targeting your targeting my demo with each email? While this sound simple, sometimes we need to be reminded. Is the news that we’re sharing important to just us or is it important to the user? Attention spans are shorter than ever and you need to have that hook!
- Is this subject line intriguing? Pose a question to your audience, make a joke, or simply just make them a part of the conversation. Studies show that the subject line will dramatically change your newsletter results.
- Is this content offering anything? People will be more likely to open emails that have some value to them. Holiday offers, upcoming deals, or seasonal imaging really works well around this time of the year.
Email marketing needs to be clever in 2016, but it should not be forgotten about. Everyone has an email address, and email marketing remains an important way to reach your target audience. Don’t neglect it!
